The WAGS™ valve sits in a drip pan under the water heater and is activated when leaking water accumulates to a predetermined level in the pan. Once activated, the industrial-duty, spring loaded piston in the valve shuts off the cold water flow, and also the gas supply on the WAGS7200-5WG.
A Red Indicator Tab pops out to indicate the WAGS™ valve activation. Note: The WAGS™ valve is a single-use activation device for user safety, and is not resettable.
